The ECO club is involved in environmentally focused initiatives at HSSS. It is responsible for creating and maintaining our school wide recycling program and this year our focus is a “litter reduction” campaign as we aim to beautify our outdoor spaces at HSSS.
This is a student-lead art club where members decide on themes and techniques they want to practice each week. The club runs after school on Fridays in the Art Room.
The climbing club uses the climbing wall at HSS and teaches students the basics of top-rope climbing and belaying. Students will learn proper safety and communication techniques, as well as the basics of good climbing technique. No gear is required and no prior experience is necessary.
This is a non-competitive group that is open to all students. Roughly four times a winter, students will head to Whistler/Blackcomb for a day of skiing/boarding. There is a discounted cost associated with this club (not running for 2017-2018 school year).
The diversity club is inclusive of all students, including LGBTQ2, and meets to discuss any and all topics important to emotional and physical well-being.
